Welcome to MesaKatz Bengals About Us Page. MesaKatz Bengals of New Mexico is owned by Jim and Robin. We have a small, in-home cattery nestled in the sunny foothills of the Sandia Mountains, near Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mesakatz Bengals is a proud member of TICA, TIBCC and TIBCS.  We are also active members of the Enchanted Cat Club in Albuquerque. We have been raising and showing champion Havanese dogs for about ten years. We met our first Bengal cats at the Enchanted Cat Club show in Albuquerque. We instantly fell in love with these beautiful, exotic looking cats, and spent many hours researching and talking to Bengal breeders. We are proud to have some of the finest bloodlines in Bengal cats today. Our Bengal cats and Bengal kittens have achieved success at TICA shows, including our two Supreme Champion boys, Amigo and Concho. Our home bred boy Concho was the #1 TICA International Black Silver Spotted Tabby Bengal for 2009-2010, 2010-2011. Our Bengal kittens are cutting edge in beauty, health and temperament. Our cats and kittens are raised underfoot in our home, with full time attention and love. Our dogs are happy to help socialize and play with their kitten friends. We strive to breed breathtaking, show quality Bengals with outstanding health and affectionate temperaments. Showing our cats is important to us, not just to win at shows, but because we feel that we owe it to our Bengal kitten families to continually mentor under TICA judges and long time Bengal breeders to be sure that the kittens we offer adhere to the Bengal standard, that we are up-to-date on current health information and testing, and that we do not become "cattery blind".  Without the ongoing learning experience of showing and competing against other Bengal cats, one cannot truly determine the quality of a Bengal kitten.  Our Bengals travel to shows and are happily handled by many judges, which is a testament to their dispositions. These great dispositions are passed on to their offspring. As a new proud owner of a MesaKatz Bengal kitten, you deserve the best and it is our goal to provide that.
